The end of Netscape comes after years of struggle within AOL in trying to resurrect the original mainstream web browser to its former place among the world wide web, but as of friday; Netscape only held 0.6% of the browser market while Internet Explorer still dominated the market at more than 77.0% according to Web application and analytics firm Net applications.
