Samsung has unveiled a 128GB Solid State Disk, which is double it's previous largest SSD offering. SSD drives consume only 1W of power, compared to SATA-II Platter HDDs which consume 3.0W+ on average. Also with not containing any mechanical parts they are less prone to errors caused by motion; i.e. being dropped.              |
