As rumored by many a Mac news / rumor site, Apple has unveiled the Macbook Air, it features a magnetic latch lid, 1 USB Port, 1 Mini DVI port and a headphones port. It lacks an optical drive, but it has been announced Apple is developing a program that allows the Macbook Air to take control of a Mac's or PC's Optical drive. All models feature a 1.8inch hard drive and and 2GB of RAM soldered onto the motherboard, the HDD is a traditional platter system, but a SSD based drive is available for $999.00 Intel is reported as to have shrunk the Core 2 Duo CPU by 60% to make it fit inside the system.              |
